SEPTEMBER 22ND, 2000

The semi-retired Carman Lee Yuek-Tung was spotted with a group of friends in the Wanchai district the night before last. Looking stunning as usual, Lee revealed that she returned recently from a three month shoot in Shanghai where she was working on the thirty-episode Mainland television series KEI YAN KEI ON (lit. EXTRAORDINARY PERSON EXTRAORDINARY CASE). After a small vacation, Lee will be leaving again next month to work on another Mainland project. Lee prefers working on Mainland projects because of the high pay and light work load. Lee: "Actually, working in the Mainland isn't tiring at all. The director plans for us to have eight hours of rest a day. The working conditions are much better there than in Hong Kong. I don't know why more artists don't try to develop careers there. The working conditions are not bad. The pay is pretty good. I get a five figure wage for each episode. I started working up there a year and a half ago."

Apart from saying everything is fine, Lee declined to comment on her relationship with businessman Kwok Ying-Chuen.
